Training Camp

  • Location & Focus: A comprehensive disaster management training was held at Manimutha River Dam to prepare for cyclones and floods.

  • Key Leadership: The event was conducted under the guidance of the Kallakurichi District Collector and led by the National Disaster Management Team.

  • Multi-Agency Effort: Police, Fire & Rescue, 108 Ambulance services, and Revenue officials participated alongside the Indian Red Cross Society.

  • IRCS Participation: The Chairman, along with the Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and committee members represented the IRCS.

Yesterday around 9:30 AM, under the guidance of the Kallakurichi District Collector, the National Disaster Management Team conducted a comprehensive training program at the Manimutha River Dam, Kallakurichi.

The session aimed to educate the local public on essential rescue and safety measures to be followed during natural disasters such as cyclones, heavy rains, and floods.

Officials from various key departments participated in the program, including the District Training Collector, Police Department, Fire and Rescue Services, 108 Ambulance Services, and the Tahsildar. Office bearers of the Indian Red Cross Society, Kallakurichi District Branch—the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary , Treasurer and few management committee members —also took part, along with members of the general public.

The training emphasized preparedness, timely response, and community awareness to ensure safety and resilience during disaster situations.
