❤️ Training Hands to Save Lives | CPR for a Safer Community
Yesterday, I had the privilege of conducting a hands-on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training session for more than 25 members representing various NGOs, as part of our continued efforts through the Indian Red Cross Society, Kallakurichi District Branch.
For me, CPR training is not just about teaching a medical procedure. It is about empowering ordinary people to become extraordinary first responders when a life hangs in the balance.
The first few minutes following a cardiac arrest can make the difference between life and death. By equipping NGO volunteers and community leaders with the confidence and practical skills to recognize cardiac arrest and initiate effective CPR, we are strengthening the chain of survival within our communities.
It was truly encouraging to see the participants actively engage in the hands-on demonstrations and practice sessions with such enthusiasm.
As District Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Kallakurichi District Branch, I strongly believe that our mission extends beyond responding to emergencies—we must prepare communities to respond before professional help arrives.
🙏 My sincere appreciation to all the participating NGOs and IRCS Vice Chairman Elayaperumal and IRCS Treasurer Suresh Kumar for their commitment to organise and creating an opportunity for learning a skill that can potentially save a human life.
One person trained in CPR can save one life.
A CPR-trained community can save many. ❤️
Let us build a CPR-ready Kallakurichi.
