The Youth Red Cross (YRC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) units of the Government Medical College and Hospital Kallakurichi successfully conducted a voluntary Blood Donation Camp on November 20, 2025. The event, held at the Third Floor ICU of the hospital campus, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and volunteers dedicated to the noble cause of saving lives.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr. M. Bhavani, Dean of Government Medical College and Hospital Kallakurichi. Her presence highlighted the institution's commitment to healthcare and social responsibility. She encouraged the students and donors, emphasizing the critical need for blood donation in emergency medical care.

Distinguished medical officers were present to grace the occasion and support the initiative. Dr. P. Pachaiyappan, Medical Superintendent; Dr. B. Shameem, Vice Principal; and Dr. M. Porchelvi, Resident Medical Officer, attended the event, commending the organizers and donors for their selfless service.
