2.The Installation Ceremony is scheduled for October 14, 2025, at the Government Medical College.
3.District Collector M.S. Prasanth, the President of the IRCS District branch, will preside over the event.
4.Top health and education officials from the district will be in attendance as guests.
The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Kallakurichi District, is proud to announce the formal Installation Ceremony for our Kallakurichi Branch and the establishment of new Youth Red Cross (YRC) Units in six local colleges. This significant event marks a new chapter in our mission to promote humanitarian services and principles throughout the district.
The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Auditorium of the Government Medical College, Kallakurichi.
A Formal Invitation to Our President
In anticipation of this momentous occasion, our key office bearers, including District Chairman Dr. S. Ponnarasu, Vice Chairman Thiru. A. Elayaperumal, and Secretary Thiru. S. Emanuyel SasiKumar, had the honor of formally inviting our esteemed District President, Thiru. M.S. Prasanth, I.A.S., District Collector of Kallakurichi. We were delighted that he graciously accepted our invitation and will preside over the ceremony and light the inaugural lamp. His leadership and support are invaluable to the growth and success of our humanitarian efforts in the district.
Expanding Our Reach Through Youth
A core focus of this ceremony is the installation of Youth Red Cross units in six leading educational institutions. Engaging with students is fundamental to our mission. These new YRC units will help instill the values of service, compassion, and community responsibility in the next generation, creating a powerful force for good.

Government Polytechnic College, Sankarapuram
RKS Arts & Science College, Kallakurichi
